Last night I suggested to Elizabeth that after her regular "Now I lay me down to sleep..." prayer that she thank Jesus for something and then ask Jesus to help someone she knows with something.

For the first one, to give thanks for something, she said "Thank you for my house and thank you for making me."

For the second, to ask for help for someone else, she said "Please help my Daddy get another job so we can have more money...." I was about to tell her that we probably shouldn't pray just for more money but before I could say anything she continued on with her prayer and added, ".... so we can give more money to the poor people."
